High Energy is: Just Kiddin', Winnipeg’s Children/Family Entertainers. The response to their first album, “Plugged Up”, spurred the group onto a second CD “Imagination” which garnished a Prairie Music Award in 2001 for Outstanding Children’s Album. In 2002, Just Kiddin' was re-nominated for the PMA with “Never Grow Up” . Just Kiddin' consists of guitarist and vocalist, Garth Nosworthy, percussionist Paul Cerilli and bassist and vocalist Mike Przednowek.Banding together in 1995, just for fun, the Winnipeg group has been captivating audiences by combining the music and comedy with audience participation, both on and off the stage. Just Kiddin's beginnings were intimate and exclusive concerts. Their reputation for original music and zany antics spread throughout the Province of Manitoba. Their intimate audiences grew to as many as 40,000 at Winnipeg’s Teddy Bears’ Picnic. Just Kiddin's trait for including the audience in their shows has become its trademark for good fun and great entertainment. Just Kiddin' has been featured at major local and rural festivals including the Winnipeg International Children’s Festival, the Winnipeg Folk Festival, and the Dauphin Country Festival. As their reputation grew, so did their travels. Just Kiddin' has performed in Northern Ontario at Kenora’s Harbour Festival, the Thunder Bay’s Children’s Festival, as well as Dryden. The group has traveled north in Manitoba to Flin Flon’s Trappers Festival and Thompson’s Nickel Days. Just Kiddin' has performed in several communities in Saskatchewan including Yorkton, Kipling, Estevan, Bengough, Gull Lake and Kincaid. Their furthest trip west to Edmonton was rewarded with the Prairie Music Award While Just Kiddin' has expanded its reach, the group has not forgotten its roots. They routinely perform for the Children’s Hospital, and most recently for St. Amant Center. The backbeat of Just Kiddin' is provided by Mike (alphabet) Przednowek on bass and Paul Cerilli, the dynamic and witty drummer. Paul and Mike have traded in their trademark Tuxedo's for bright short sleeved shirts because the energy of the show was taking the Tux out of their Edo's. The Music: Just Kiddin's CD “Imagination” focuses on the limitless possibilities of the child’s mind; Imagination to be what you want, when you want; Fly, set your sights high; as a child, have no boundaries to your dreams; Hole in the Fence, ever been home sick or grounded when the whole word can escape but you? The tricks that the mind can play on you captured in song in “Something Creepy”. Peaked your imagination? Just Kiddin's second CD “Never Grow Up” takes a retrospective look at a child’s day-to-day life, from a grownup’s perspective. Going to school: Kindergarten Blues; Heck of a Fix, looks at the trouble that can happen when you talk to strangers, portrayed as a floppy eared dog; the must have sneakers: “Black and White Nikes”, the family outing, “Moo at the Cows”; to that carefree summer feeling, Funny Day. Just Kiddin's latest CD “Out Standing in Our Field” reflects the Family aspect of the group. While all the songs revolve around the child in us, the songs touch on Rock, Jazz, Folk and Country styles. Yes, there CD has two “Out Standing in Our Fields” reflecting the concepts of Garth and this recently retired band mate Craig Buckboro . All of Just Kiddin's projects to date have been independent ventures by Just Kiddin' Inc. and Just Kiddin' Music and Publishing.
